Pool Boots Kids Who Might “Change the Complexion”

This just makes you want to SCREAM over and over again.

The beauty of these children is that for the most part they aren’t thinking in terms of race; they just want to swim and be happy. Adults always manage to fu*k things up and the adults at The Valley Swim Club did that unapologetically.

I wonder if Sasha and Malia would be allowed to swim at The Valley Swim Club or are they too black as well. Would they change the complexion and atmosphere at the pool? On the contrary, they would be welcomed with open arms which leaves me to believe that these kids weren’t the “right kind of blacks,” which would make John Duesler, President of The Valley Swim Club a hypocrite and a piece of sh*t.

It makes you want to VOMIT!

One thing that just came to mind, I want to see what the “Lovers of Black Folks” will  say and do in regards to this issue. C’mon Smiley, Dyson and West come out of your ivory towers and put your eloquent words into action…yeah right, that’ll be the day!

Perez Hilton’s “Fag%ot”  tirade got him popped in the mouth. You can’t mouth off to people and expect them not to react or to see you as anything other than a gossip columnist with a chip on your shoulder. Everyone isn’t non-violent dumbass. Perez, now you must deal with the consequences and repercussion of your behavior just like everyone else. You are not beyond being popped in the mouth for the venom you spew. Not everyone thinks what you do is cute or is going to put up with your blatant disrespect; this is not the 1920’s and you are not Hedda Hopper or Louella Parsons.

You have no real power dear so get over yourself and trust me once your bloated ego is healed, you will get over this.

White House Watermelon Email From California Mayor Dean Grose

This kind of crap makes you want to slap the Rethugligans upside their heads. It really amazes me that they don’t mind being seen as racists, these people have no shame. I’m starting to have a scintilla of compassion for Michael Steele because the party he is trying so hard to be a part of, doesn’t really want his kind. But, don’t get me wrong, the Democrats aren’t that much different, they just come in prettier packages.

It upsets me when assholes make racists comments and then act as if they didn’t know the meaning behind it. Feigning stupidity is not going to cut it as an excuse anymore. This jackass knew exactly what he was doing, he just forgot to delete the normal people who find being a racist offensive from his email list.

And another thing, it pisses me off when white people assume or can’t envision black folks doing and living normal lives just like they do. In what universe would the Obamas not have the annual Easter egg hunt at the white house? From my mouth to your ears, we practically live the same lives, our skin color is just darker. And for those of you who don’t know what the watermelon deal is, read below.

It’s a very old joke, tailor-made for very old racists. -But somehow nowadays (with all the information floating around at people’s finger tips) Devout racists and bigots feel they can cloak their hatred with “seeming innocent” jokes and baffoonery targeted at blacks (like blacks don’t have Easter-egg hunts)

It’s not even THAT close to Easter, but since our president had a “command speech” last night, those who are hurt by his brilliance(and his color) are venting.

Do I Need To Purchase A Gun???

Let’s just get right to it; some white folks are buying guns by the barrel load and believe me they’re not all “gun enthusiasts” afraid that Obama is going to impose some outrageous gun control laws in his term as president. Some of these people are getting ready for some idiotic notion that there is an impending race war coming. It has made me think twice about possibly purchasing a gun and taking lessons so that I will be able to protect myself and my family. I have never owned a gun in my life nor have I ever thought it would be necessary for me to own a gun; but the incidents of violence happening around the country are a bit upsetting and frightening.

You’ve got people saying stupid stuff like this:

“He wants to take our guns from us and create a socialist society policed by his own police force,”

What kind of dumb shit is that. This man is a moron, but you have to take morons like this seriously. You never know when a group of angry white people will accost you, hook you up to the back of some pickup and drag you for miles…remember James Byrd. Unfortunately you have to think about your safety first and the idiocy of their logic second.

I’m still not sure it’s the way I want to go, but I am going to discuss it with my family and seriously consider purchasing a handgun…it even pains me to say it.

We are truly a nation of minorities now and folks need to recognize that fact and live up to our nations creed (you know, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness). Minorities now outnumber the majority and we just want to live and love in this country like everyone else. If the crazy southern/religious/conservative fringe want to start a race war, they are going to have more than black folks to fight. We are a nation of immigrants — ALL OF US.

White folks always like to say if you don’t like it here in America, take your black ass back to Africa; well, if you don’t like it here in America, I say “Take Your White Ass Back to Europe,” England in particular and see what kind of reception you get.

Or, we can all live in this country peacefully without all of this unnecessary animus and I can put my fear of you and possible need for a handgun purchase to rest.

In the famous words of Rodney King, “Can’t we all just get along.”

Hating and fearing each other gets us no where; hate, ignorance and the angry mob mentality got us Reginald Denny and that tragedy.

Green Watch: Paula Deen, Smithfield Foods Deliver 25,000 lbs. of Ham to Food Bank in DC

Bless her heart, Paula Deen is such a happy person, and believes she is doing the right thing by delivering “Food.” But really, is ham the only product she could sponsor. Most of that ham will be used by poor and low income residents of the Washington, DC area; even though many middle class residents will also need to partake in the free donations. Processed ham would not have been my preferred food choice, fresh veggies, grains, and legumes would have been a better choice. I hope the people make smart choices but I also understand that when it comes to feeding your family sometimes making the best dietary choice is not realistic…which is really too bad.

Eating a greener diet is so much better for the kids in the long run and I want to help build awareness. Soon we will be launching a new website called One A Day Green.com which will focus on greening up everything in your life from an African American perspective.

WASHINGTON – Paula Deen, the queen of southern cuisine, is visiting D.C. to participate in the Metropolitan Cook-in Event and while she was here, she and Smithfield Foods made a major donation to the Capital Area Food Bank.

Deen says when people think of her, they think of food. “So it’s only appropriate that when I come visiting, I bring food. That’s what southerners do,” said Deen. The Food Network star and Smithfield Foods delivered 25,000 pounds of ham to the Capital Area Food Bank.

She says it’s a privileged to help and the food bank can certainly use it. “Listen to this. Do you know how long that 25,000 pounds of food is going to last? You know hunger is a constant thing,” said Deen.

Here we have the McCain campaign’s execrable Michael Goldfarb slinging around accusations of anti-semitism–a favorite pastime, as we’ve seen this year, among Jewish neoconservatives. I’ve never met Rashid Khalidi, but he is (a) Palestinian and therefore (b) a semite, so the charge of anti-semitism is fatuous. Khalidi is also a respected academic, the sort of person who is involved in foundation work that John McCain, for one, was willing to support financially. I’d say that if we have a bigot here, it’s Mr. Goldfarb who, if he’s intent on calling people antisemitic–or any other epithet–should be required to provide chapter and verse, which he does not do on CNN. (I’d also like to know on what basis CNN’s Rick Sanchez can stipulate that Khalidi is antisemitic.)

Fat TV Show: Three Fat Brides, One Thin Dress

Here we go again; another Brit with a dumb ass television show to make fat women feel unworthy of love. This charming UK-based television show is called, Three Fat Brides, One Thin Dress.

In each episodes of Three Fat Brides, One Thin Dress, three brides-to-be have just eight weeks to transform their appearance and well-being, with the prize of the wedding dress of her dreams for the bride who has the greatest success.

But how will they cope with the added pressure of Gillian McKeith (show host) on the wedding scene? Will they make it to their big day a few sizes smaller? Or will they want to call the whole thing off?

Of course women would rather call their wedding off than be fat. Of course fat women don’t deserve love. Of course this is a bunch of bullshit and it really pisses me off. I am so tired of society telling me that because I am fat, I am not worthy of the same love and happiness as a skinny person. I’ve got news for you idiots, there are a lot of skinny women out there who are seriously miserable being thin for a variety of reasons. And what does it say about the self-esteem of the women who go on these shows? Because it seems to me, if you don’t already love yourself, losing weight to fit into a wedding dress is not going to do the trick.

Love and beauty are in the eye of the beholder; love isn’t real nor does it last when it is based solely on the way a person looks. Being admired for your looks is flattering, but if it’s the only reason you love me, that’s a complete turnoff. If you can’t love me for everything that I am, then you simply don’t love me.

If you can’t love every curve and bulge on my body, then I don’t want you. Fat women, and women in general need to stop waiting to be chosen and go out there and choose. And once you’ve made your choice, then go on some dumb ass television show to compete for the wedding dress of your dreams in the size that you are, not some size that society thinks you should be.
