I have been a vegetarian for a while now and think I can be called a “Vegan Lite” because there is very little dairy in my diet. But lately I have been searching for something, some kind of change in my life. It has been very difficult to put my finger on what the little itch is that I can’t seem to scratch; so I am trying to get clarity or a cleansing so to speak. While doing research I came across a gentleman name Philip McCluskey at LovingRaw.com who weighed 400lbs and lost the weight be embracing a raw foods diet. But more importantly, from reading his blog and viewing his video, I detect that he has achieved the clarity and peace that I so desperately want in my life.
Because I am a natural born researcher, I have found that Raw Foodism is a serious movement that is about so much more than food. Many of the principals and philosophies are in line with my desire to be green and to help the planet. So, I am bootstrapping my introduction to raw food smoothies (although, i already eat a great deal of raw food, now it’s with a greater purpose and a few recipes).
I’ll let you know periodically how I’m doing, what new foods I am eating and if I happen to lose some weight, I’ll report that as well. Below are a couple of pictures of my 2nd green smoothie (the date on the pictures is wrong, they were taken this morning; I didn’t update my camera).

As always, be well

Update:
Actually I need to clarify how I found Raw Food; it came in the form of a television program on WeTv called “Extreme Diets” – The Secret Lives of Women and the woman and food choices that interested me the most were that of Raw Foodist Gabrielle Brick. Actually she turned me on, there is a sexy confidence about her that is seriously evident; some thing that I think a lot of women would love to exude. Btw, I’m not gay, but I can recognize, celebrate and acknowledge the beauty in another woman; if more women did that…you finish the sentence.

As always, be well
